If you’re headed to the University District Farmers’ Market this weekend, be warned. It’s the annual University District Street Fair this weekend and while the U-District will be hopping, the farmers market will only be about half the size of the usual market. We don’t have a complete list of vendors who will and won’t be there, but here is a partial list.
- Golden Glen Creamery – NOT ATTENDING. Will be in Ballard on Sunday.
- Taylor Shellfish – NOT ATTENDING. Will be in Ballard on Sunday
- Sea Breeze Farms – ATTENDING
- Trevani Truffles – ATTENDING
Cook Local will be at the market bright and early on Saturday morning. If you’re wondering whether your favorite vendors will be around on Saturday, follow us on Twitter. We’ll make sure and list every vendor who is there.
The Broadway, West Seattle, and Ballard Farmers’ Markets will all be open and fully staffed on Sunday, so if you want to avoid the crowds that are sure to be present at the street fair, sleep in a bit and do your shopping on Sunday. We’ll be shopping for some fresh cauliflower, salad greens, and potatoes as well as hoping that Wilson’s Fish is finally back with fresh salmon.
