Cascadian Edible Landscapes Edible Plant Sale in Seattle – May 22nd!

by John Eddy on May 20, 2010

So, we mentioned the sale going on in Issaquah to benefit Tilth, and you may have also noticed that we mentioned eatyouryard.com.

Well, surprise surprise, they are having a sale this Saturday too. And their sale is timed in such a way to match up to the weather we’re having.

Those tomatoes you.. ok, all of us.. bought at Tilth really shouldn’t have been planted until this past weekend when the temperature got warm enough to support their growth. But Cascadian Edible Landscapes only sells you plants that are ready to be planted. Don’t get us wrong, we love Tilth and we’re not disparaging them or anyone else who sold tomatoes in late April, but for those of us who aren’t experienced gardeners, it’s nice to have a little guidance for what to plant when.

Be sure to check out their sale page and, if you need to fill out your garden, or replace some of those plants that didn’t survive (like our cucumbers), head on up to Meadowbrook this weekend.

If you go, be sure to tell them Cook Local sent you. They won’t have a clue what you’re talking about, and you’re sure to get some funny looks, but, hey…. Funny looks.
