It is a hot one out there today. What better way to cool off and support your loc neighborhood than a trip to the Queen Anne Farmers Market. Cook Local spent some time at the market today and here are some of the great finds we walked away with.
Tiny’s has their white nectarines that they are sampling to all who walk by. These are fantastic. Super sweet and crisp. They also have pluots, cherries, peaches, and apricots. Mix and match all fruit for $3.49 a pound.
Local Roots had the first eggplant of the season today. I would have snapped it up if my fridge wasn’t full of veggies already.
Boulangerie Nantaise has beautiful breads and croissants.
Heavenly Honey Farm not only has honey, but candles and lotion bars as well.
Signature has Vietnamese street food! Eggrolls are 3 for $5 and a bahn mi is $4.
Secret Stash Salt has little one ounce samples for $3 each. Stop by and see Janna and sample some salts. You can only find them at the Queen Anne Farmers Market, so stop by and show them some love.
QuilBay Seafood has whole crabs for about $20. They are $6.50 per pound which is a lot cheaper than you will find in any store.
Monteullet Fronagerie has a dill and Walla Walla chevre which was amazing.
Skillet is here too and their watermelon fresca is a fantastic way to beat the heat for only $2.
Stop by any time before 7 for a wonderful neighborhood market. Don’t forget to buy some cheese and enter to win a $50 market gift basket.
