So you know we cook, and you know we read, but here’s where we tell you that we also listen. We’ve recently discovered a locavore focused podcast that we’ve really been enjoying.
Earth Eats is produced by WIFU, from Indiana University. So far, I’ve learned a lot about the production of maple syrup and what the differences are between an slump, a cobbler, and a crumple.
Is it Seattle focused? No. (Although we’re working on some podcasts of our own, so stay tuned!)
However, just because these podcasts aren’t directed at Seattlites, doesn’t mean you can’t learn something. Their focus is all about good and simple eating with local foods. You’ll get recipes, tips, tricks, and maybe a bit of history. The podcasts are just 4-5 minutes long, so you can pop one on the MP3 player while you’re cooking dinner and still have time to rock out to your favorite tunes once the chopping is done.
For those who prefer the written word, they have a nice summary of every podcast on their website. So if you happen to forget your headphones one day, just hop on over to their website and read the summary.

Should go without saying that if you’re looking to start a podcast, let me know so I can help you out.
